Let the summer fun begin

Okay summer started a while ago and it has been fun but now it's time for the weekend getaways.
This past weekend we went Kayaking. First time for me and I didn't dump not once. got stuck on a huge stump in the water but was freed 3 minutes later with a lot of balancing and pushing off of this huge log.
We got into the Haakwoods camp ground north of Wolverine MI late friday night. enought time to set up camp and party till 4am in the morning. Only to get up at the crack of dawn because the sun beating in your tent is hotter then if you were out side. So for me at least I can't sleep past 90degrees or 8-10am lol no matter what time we go to sleep.  It was a great time with some great people. We did Kayak over 12 miles.

The cool thing about this river is it flows north.. unlike most other lakes in michigan. so we kept going north. lol. The Lake at the end was soooo scary. if you dump your screwed for the most part. The best part of this all is i'm not as sore as I thought I would be. i'm sore don't get me wrong but i didn't think i'd be able to move today.
and well I can!!
So next weekend off to NMI.. Can't freaking wait short week long weekend on an island. I'll be sure to add some photos  of the Kayaking camp and whatever my friends tag me in .. No images on the water sorry don't want to take that risk with the camera. At least not yet.

Last weekend with the girls.. boo

Amazing how fast life goes when your too busy to stop. It's one thing after another all the time but at least it's good stuff. Amazing we haven't been to a wedding yet this year.. last year was the end of the wedding rush. now it's babies babies and babies. and i swear i wish people would just stop asking me and frank when's the babies. like really. before we were married it was when you two getting hitched. Now that we are married it's when will we get more babies. Like people chill. But I ended up getting a pre baby blanket from my aunt becky she had it made for us. so i got my first baby blanket and no baby. wow they are really trying hard arn't they. lol

So this weekend was great i got to spend some one on one time with my sister candie as we got fitted for our dress for cassies wedding. We ate lunch and headed to a cook out in her honor and so the family could all get together. We all had a blast. The girls jumped on the big jumpy thing (can't spell that word sorry) and they went swimming with the family.
So much food we did stuff ourselves very much.

Sunday the rain held off for us while we all picked some blueberries and peaches. Tiny peaches but they are sweet and delish..  We spent 25 bucks and we got a whole lot of blue berries and peaches. I really wanted to get some to dry as i want to start drying more food. Mainly because it makes for great low sodium meals and snacks for backpacking and trails. Plus why not have extra emergency food.
So i'm fully going to start drying my left overs and other items.. And start stocking up...

Well i got to start my work week now.

Past weekend!

What a great time this weekend was, we had a benefit dinner/poker night for Dave. It was a great turn out and the poker table was set. I want to say about 40 people played poker but the 2 winners walked away with 250 each! Frank was one of those winners!!! Way to go Frank! I got drunk and didn’t play, lol jello shots anyone? I really only remember having a great time with my friends and frank winning! Go frank go!!! Oh yeah they did have some raunchy comedian on stage to! I was more focused on the free jello shots!

Tank went to low log this weekend, it was a great day for a walk in the park so we hiked to low log and ran some with dog.! I think he is scared of rivers he hears them and ran up a hill! Helped me get up that one LOL! Tank is getting so big and he is losing his little guys Thursday. Poor little guy! Also you might want to mark this one on the calendar. I Cleaned My Car. OMG yes you can fit 4 full grown adults in my car now! Just don’t look in the trunk! LOL

Mom’s day was great – I had morning coffee with her at her place, then we went to dog class together (that was fun) and I got her some flowers for her garden! Let me tell ya blocks is a mad house! REALLY! MAD! We worked on her puzzle and relaxed before I went home to frank where we went out to eat and relaxed some more!

Oh and today I read Sadies blog (find it here) and low and behold she wants to do something Frank and I are going to do to! (I’m thinking double date) but we’ll see if she wants to! I think it would be fun!
