voting 3

Now as my boyfriend would say here are my next excuses... i call them reasons and callouts some are questions and if Really answers with fact to back them up not personal opinion then maybe i will be able to turn in that form that says to register to vote! i did the first step it is filled out! :)
the following is a quote from that last page i blogged about!!!
Politics is so dirty, and politicians so corrupt, that there is no point in voting. <-- okay
Did I mention that these people are stupid? <-- judgmental again pointing figures never got anyone anywhere good!!!
If politicians are out of control, the very last thing citizens should want to do is to disengage themselves from the process. <-- i guess you would be correct here!
A friend of mine informed me that she was going to exactly that, though.  She said she had no intention of voting as long as things were as bad as they are.  Apparently the idea is that if she, and others, threw a big fit and stopped voting, politicians would start playing nice, and then they would vote again, and everyone would live happily ever after. <-- I don't think that would be the outcome but i can see why you would see it that way! I
If you are absolutely sickened by the corruption in politics, then there is only one way to deal with it:  Do some research before voting day, and in each and every election vote for the least corrupt candidate you can find.  If every person claiming to be skipping elections out of disgust did this, politics would be almost completely cleaned up in two or three election cycles. <-- now if you do pick the worser of the two you are accepting that you have no CHOICE in what is being placed! if you vote on crap and you get crap and crap continues your only encourageing it! so everytime someone picks the lesser of the two evils  they are still encourage crap to have Power over us!

Or those people can sit at home with your eyes closed, indulging in the idiotic fantasy that when they open their eyes, everything will have been magically fixed.  Or, and I suspect this is closer to the truth, they can just admit that they can't be bothered. <-- well your right it's not going to magically get fixed but i also don't think voting is the way to fix it either! i think proactive postitive reinforsment and LEADERSHIP on a small tiny scale in volvement with in onse community will be the way to fix it!
okay moving on!

Both Parties Are the Same  <-- this is my big callout! :) Very true I do need to be more educated onthis topic there for my call out is  the point of this! reversed I will do some studding and reading up on this topic untill i do that i can't not call this out! :)

Democrats, Republicans...it's all the same.  What's the point?
First, that is not generally true.  The average Democrat and the average Republican hold very different views on many substantial issues.
The above advice to simply vote for the best candidate should suffice here.  If, however, you feel the two-party system is a complete travesty, there is certainly something you can do about it.  In most elections, there is at least one third-party candidate.  There are often many.  There is a rich vein of political philosophy represented in the Libertarian Party, the Green Party, the Natural Law Party, the Reform Party, and others.  If you are completely out of the mainstream, there is still almost certainly a political party for you.  Spend some time learning about those parties and their candidates, and vote accordingly.
I can hear the objection now:  But those parties never win!  First, that is not true.  Second, if you believe that, then the solution is to vote for those parties so they do win, not to make the "they never win" statement into a self-fulfilling prophecy.  Third, even when the small parties do not win, when their ideas attract enough attention and votes, the two major parties will often incorporate those ideas.  For example, the Republican Party is much more libertarian than it used to because of the current popularity of ideas long advocated by the Libertarian Party.
moving on to the next!!!!

this statement in general
If, on the other hand, you stay home and complain about the influence of money, then you will guarantee that you will not be part of the solution.
This tells me there is only ONE WAY TO MAKE A SOLUTION!~ i thought there were many and voting doesn't even begin to touch the serface!

Politicians Just Work to Get Reelected <-- what ever this doens't really consirn me at all maybe i should study up on it!

If you feel that strongly about it, then vote for politicians that didn't campaign negatively.  If all of them did, then vote for the one that did the least amount of it. <-- again still encourageing neggo  campains if you just don't vote one day it will stop what happends between here and that day is up to you! not a group of voters!
you want the best for your community your block then get to gether and take action stop waiting for someone to get into office and do it for you! ONly you can change your surrounds! and the fact that over 50% of the usa citizens wait for action is just sickening!

"My Vote Will Not Matter"

Probably the number one reason people claim they do not vote is that their one measly vote will not make a difference. <-- true proof to me how it will matter and i'll vote! oh it don't count when you stick your hand in a box full of 100 ballots and you pull 10 of them out of that box and if it's a tie you pull one more out and it happend to be mine! when if you counted all the ballots you would have more of an accurate count!
The counter to that is to simply note that if all the people saying that voted in the next election, they could dictate the winners to the rest of us. <-- i really don't undestand this state ment! anyone inlighten me! all i feel is that no ones vote is accounted for and i feel it's all a big set up most the time!  i do think the voting thing is good don't get me wrong but as time has moved by it has been correpted by our own goverment!
---

Conclusion

Even if you are unhappy with the choice being given to you, at least you have a choice. <-- thanks to the past ancessors i do have that choice!~ I also have a choice to TAKE ACTION
You can do your part to move things in the direction you desire.  <-- I am currently do this not on such a large scale but it's happing...
You can vote for better (if not good) candidates.  You can fight the excessive influence of campaign spending.  You can give third-party candidates a boost.  You can punish corruption and lying.  You can vote in the primaries to influence who will be running in the elections. <-- i still don't see the point in encourageing all of this neggo stuff!
All of this, unfortunately, will take some of your time.  You will have to pay attention to what your politicians are doing.  <-- yess that sucks and i don't want to but i'm going to and i'll just speak my opinions and then take action myself instead of waiting and waiting for them to do someting about it!
You will have to research new candidates. <yepers!
You will have to learn what the political parties stand for.
If you decide that you can not take the time to do this, then do us all a favor and stay home.  Do not go in and blindly vote for those whose names you recognize (who are either incumbents or have spent the most money).  <-- so you do have to be at your best to vote! as i feel it should be so it would be best for me to stay at home! :)

If you decide you want to have your say, then learn what you are voting for, and go in and vote.  If things do not go your way, then you can complain all you want. <-- now i can complain if i didn't vote too you have that choice not to listen aswell!
You will at least know that you did your part to make things better. <-- i guess helping out at a soup kitchen isn't putting your best foot forward and helping things be better?
And you will have earned the right to complain (and perhaps influence future voters). <-- freedome of speech! no it doesn't note that i have to be a voter to complain! not that complaining does anything weather or not it be a voter or a nonvoter!
On the other hand, if you have the time and ability to educate yourself and vote, yet you choose not to, then, please, don't complain. <-- I don't really want to here you complain if you did vote so can you not complain either you already had your say the world is now just working agaist you!
If you are unhappy about corruption, money, bad candidates, or whatever, but you did nothing to help the situation, then you really have no right to moan about how things are. <-- if i start a company then i added money i just did something I can have all the say i want!
Well I know some of the things most voters will say are petty!
well if you feel that way inlighten me with out being judgmental and have some fact to back it up!
seems to me all this is all just personal opinion!
Mad luv
