This is an excellent question and it may come from the fact that it's very hard to get two people to agree on ANYTHING. So every person has their own syle, their own preferences. And religions started with a single person, usually adapting some other religion. Such as with Buddhism, Shakyamuni took many of the ideas of Hinduism and changed them to his way of thinking. Each religion started as an enlightened person's vision of things. And much of what we know of as that religion today has to do with how many times those teachings and beliefs were interpreted and translated and by who. Some religions appeal to the heart, some appeal to the intellect and some appeal to both. Some had the working people in mind, but were adapted and altered to fit whoever you were. And each cultural period had a strong influence on how that religion got shaped over time.
But you are correct, some of religion IS a hoax and has little to do with spirituality, but is more a social form so people can get together and perform rituals together. What is common is real religious experience, not religion. If you go for that, then your experience will be the same as all who have genuine spritual experience. But be careful about interpreting, that's where people create divisions

My response - wow thanks for this answer it's thought full and shows why there are so many - so what i gather is religion is mad made then there is no point to it! If i beleive what i believe in then I'm all good!

Um...this question is ridiculous, but... Take a picture, any picture. I'll find one. http://officeblogs.net/powerpoint/pictur... Every person is an individual whose personality is a combination of genetics and the billions of alternative choices we face every day (from whether or not we scratch our nose to what school we go to). This highly indiivdualized personality means that each individual perceives the world around him as slightly different from his neighbor's viewpoint. When I see the picture above, I think: perfectly ordered rows of sunflowers seeds, bright happy colors, I wonder if I can grow sunflowers?, what camera was this taken with?, etc. What do you see? It might remind you of something else that sparks an entirely different perception of what this photograph means. That is why there are different religions. Each religion is a conceptualization of the feelings that are evoked when we perceive the Almighty. Additionally, the existence of many religions could in no way be the result of a governement conspiracy when no government has been around as long as religions have. |

ridiculous questions F YOU THEN no question is ridiculous if i pounder on something it is a sin to riticul me for it! go make your confession! are you scared that someone thought of it! You may think it is ridiculous but as you said our viewpoints our different so this guess just because you have a different view then me YOu loose your answer is the less researched and a large bs session!
as for the photo - i see earth.
as for goverment if your thinking goverment are poeple your mistaken goverment is a conspirce brought on by religion then once humans got a hold of it they changed religion!
I think i'll just beleive there is a God but organized religion is for the weak minded humans who have nothing better to do the waste there time reading about the history of their givin choice of religion. instead they could be doing something for our earth air water over all enviriotment that's our true gift! and we still throw trash out the window!
Thanks for your ridiculous answers!
